Just one week before announcing he had pulled off a I 1.85 billion dollars deal with the Chinese to help establish a third iron ore operation in Western Australia's Pilbara, Andrew Forrest was entertaining the Brisbane Mining Club with his take on the global resources sector. The world, Forest said, was on the brink of what he called the "east Asian industrial revolution" in which the two key players were China and India. And it was now up to Australian mining houses to decide whether they were going to ride the tsunami or be swamped by it.
