Independence cashed up and ready to explore

With almost 5 million dollars earmarked for pure exploration, Independence Group NL is shaping up to stay in the limelight as one of Australia's most promising juniors during 2004. Originally floated with the intention of using WMC Ltd's diamond division database, Independence quickly found itself in the nickel business, rising to prominence to take control of WMC's old Long nickel mine within the Kambalda area. Now, with the Long mine running extremely well and regularly exceeding production budgets, Independence is casting its net wider, looking for both gold and nickel. The company is combining its knowledge of the WMC database with the recently-acquired access to De Beers Exploration Australia's database, and a team of geologists responsible for past discoveries such as Chalice, Plutonic and Redeemer.
