DESIGN EQUATIONS FOR DUAL WIDEBAND MATCHING OF CAPACITIVE COUPLING ELEMENT ANTENNAS

To promote efficient design of dual-band antennas, this article proposes a diplexer-type matching topology and presents simple formulae to design dual-band matching networks for capacitive coupling element antennas having strongly frequency-dependent impedances. Various realistic examples show that wide passbands in cellular communication frequencies can be achieved with only four matching elements.
