Dependence of ridge position on the cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode in single ridge waveguides

The influence of the ridge position on the cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode in a single-ridge waveguide is analyzed by the finite-element method. The cutoff wavelength can he adjusted by changing the ridge dimensions Os well as by adjusting its position. More design data are presented.
