摘要

The data-compressing technique, which has been broadly used in signal processing, is employed to efficiently predict the far-field pattern in a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation. In this paper, we present a technique by which we compress the data of a surface-field distribution on the surface of a Huygens' box and save it in a compressed file format that is much smaller than its original size, The far-field pattern is predicted by using the reconstructed data in the time domain through the near-to-far-field transformation module, A patch antenna is employed to validate the proposed scheme.
