摘要

We present a novel method to fabricate fiber filters based on mechanically induced long-period fiber gratings. Transmission spectra can be tailored by external pressures or by introducing a phase-shift. As an example, the filter was used to flatten the spectral output from an Er-doped superfluorescent fiber source.
