Michigan explorers enter agreement to develop New Albany Shale natural gas for U.S. Army from wells drilled beneath Fort Knox, Ky

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Following more than three years of planning and negotiations, an agreement between Trico/ Tiger Development L.L.C and the U.S. Army was signed in August 2007 to allow development of the New Albany Shale beneath the 110,000 acre Fort Knox Military Reservation (FKMR) in parts of Meade, Hardin, and Bullitt counties, Kentucky.
