Michigan PTTC to present 'How to Find Bypassed Pay in Old Wells using DST data' workshop Oct. 15-17 at Cambria Suites, Traverse City, Mich.

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Michigan Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) Satellite at the Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education (MGRRE), Western Michigan University (WMU), will present a three-day workshop: How to Find Bypassed Pay in Old Wells using DST data, Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 through Thursday Oct. 15,2013 in Traverse City, Mich. According to an invitation letter provided by Michigan PTTC, "a key emphasis of the course is to show how to identify missed (damaged pay) in competitor's 'dry' wells and additional pay in your own producing wells. This is an important skill to compliment log skills. This information has proved invaluable in selecting tight or damaged oil zones, which will benefit from horizontal redrills."
