摘要

A procedure for preparing cobalt-poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) composite-plated electrodes on a cobalt matrix was investigated. By means of a scanning electron microscope, we observed that the surfaces of composite-plated electrodes were smooth and uniform, and the particles of PTFE were embedded in the plated layer. These facts were proved by XPS. The electrochemical responses of alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, and isopropanol were studied by chronoamperometry in order to compare with works which had been done before. The composite-plated electrode as a detector was also used in flow injection analysis (FIA). We studied the responses of vitamin, amino acid, monosaccharide, etc. At the optimum potential (0.5-0.6 V vs SCE), the calibration curve was established, Michaelis' constant was estimated, and the linear response range was found for each mentioned compounds.
