Hey,remember those elk of the Pigeon River Country State Forest and Otsego County that got so famous in the 1970s?Those were apparently far more sensitive elk than the ones we have around today.Because the elk of Otsego in the 1970s,according to the groups who mustered in to oppose drilling in the elk's range,had such delicate sensibilities that they would not live a normal elk life or would not,for heavens sake,make little elk if there was drilling for oil and gas in their neighborhood.
