OCEANA COUNTY, Mich.—Houston-based Alta Energy Operating LLC has filed drilling permit applications for a vertical pilot hole and horizontal drain hole redrill to test the Silurian A-1 Carbonate in Section 22 of Golden Township (T15N-R18W). The planned Riley 1-22 HD1 (SL: NW SE SE, Sec 22) would be drilled in a northwesterly direction from the Riley 1-22 pilot hole —approximately 4,200 feet away—to a projected measured total depth of 7,761 feet The drilling unit proposed by Alta is comprised of the SE1/4, W1/2 of the SWA, E1/2 of the NW1/4 and W1/2 of the NE1/4 of Section 22.
