The family Troglosironidae(Opiliones: Cyphophthalmi)of New Caledonia

摘要

Six new species of litter-inhabiting harvestmen of the genus Troglosiro (Opiliones: Cyphophthalmi: Troglosironidae) from NewCaledonia are described and illustrated using light microscopy and SEM. The validity of a previously described species (Troglosiroplatnicki Shear, 1993) is evaluated. The new species add new morphological variation to the opisthosomal sternal regions of Troglosiroand nearly double the diversity of known species in this endemic New Caledonian family.
