The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced that it will lift spring weight restrictions from the southern Michigan border north to and including 1-196 at Holland, north to 1-96 at Grand Rapids, east to 1-69 at Lansing, east to Port Huron, effective Monday, March 14,2016. Restrictions are still in effect for the remainder of the state and will be imposed and enforced on all state trunkline highways north of the previously stated highways.
