MICHIGAN OIL AND GAS DRILLING ACTIVITY WAS UP BY 13 PERCENT IN 2008 OVER 2007, despite a slow finish to the year, particularly in the months of November and December. A total of 546 holes reached total depth during the calendar year, according to a tally of activity conducted recently by Michigan Oil & Gas News, compared to 483 holes drilled in 2007.
