In order for Canada to reverse its declining performance on innovation, leaders from government, industry and academia will have to collaborate to design a national strategy that supports and encourages innovation, according to a recent report from the Conference Board of Canada's Leaders' Panel on Innovation-Based Commerce (LPIC). "Canada's innovation performance needs to improve. We certainly have companies and individuals that excel at innovation, but our overall performance at the national level is not sufficient to provide the productivity levels needed to maintain the high standard of living we currently enjoy," warns the report.
