Nucor Steel to upgrade rod and bar mill

Nucor Steel's NNI SBQ mill in Norfolk, NE, will be completed and upgraded with the installation of a new Kocks/Danieli 5-pass Reducing and Sizing Block (RSB). The order, awarded to Danieli Morgardshammar in February 2002, comprises the replacement of the last mill stands with the new RSB unit which will operate either as finishing block for quality straight bars/bar-in-coil production or for preparing the feeding section of the existing Morgardshammar wire rod finishing line.
