The axial-flow compressor as a blast furnace blower

The blast furnace blower is one of the core components in the ironmaking process. The speed controlled or variable guide vane controlled GHH Borsig axial-flow compressor with a centrifugal end stage meets all the requirements placed on blastfurnace blowers in terms of controllability, mechanical ruggedness and efficiency and has proven in great number in practical application. A specially designed monitoring system considerably increases the reliability of the axial-flow compressor.
