CSI, Spain, to modernize hot strip mill

CSI Pianos S.A. (formerly Ensidesa) has placed an order with SMS Schloe-mann-Siemag AG for the modernization of its hot strip mill in Aviles. SMS is the leader of a consortium whose members include the General Electric Company (GE)/USA) for the electrical equipment and various Spanish companies. This order is a continuation of the modernization program started in 1985, for which SMS and GE supplied stand F0, hydraulic adjusting systems for stands F0 and F4 to F6 as well as roll bending systems for stands F5 and F6.
