A unit of US copper producer Freeport-McMoRan Inc is in talks withthe government of Indonesia over future copper concentrate exports,the company said.PT Freeport-Indonesia (PT-FI), the company’s 90.64%-owned andconsolidated subsidiary, which operates the Grasberg mine in Papua,has an export permit that expires on January 11, 2017. The governmenthas indicated that it intends to amend the terms of its permit if andwhen it is renewed.
