China’s tin industry will shift its focus to higher-quality output as itdevelops in a “conscientious, healthy and sustainable way undersupply-side reforms”, Yunnan Tin Co’s Zhang Yang said at ITRI Asia TinWeek in Shanghai.Supply-side reforms were announced by the central governmentto tackle excess capacity in industry. In the Chinese tin industry, itsaims are to utilise existing resources in an environmentally-friendlyway, to improve the quality of smelting, and increase efficiency andinnovation.
