The seaborne hard coking coal spot market was stable on TuesdayOctober 25 as participants awaited the outcome of a meetingbetween China’s economic planner and its top coal producers.Initial chatter in the market suggested that the NationalDevelopment & Reform Commission (NDRC) had no concrete plans tofurther loosen its restrictions on the country’s coal sector eventhough it recognises its supply tightness.
