AMS Introduces Line Of Heat-Reflective Roof Colors

Architectural Metal Systems (AMS), Eufaula, AL, has introduced a new line of heat-reflective roof colors for metal roof systems that are said to save energy costs, lengthen roof life expectancies and contribute to a better environment. The reflective colors, which enable roofs to receive the federal government's Energy Star rating for steep-sloped roofs, lower inside air temperatures to achieve energy savings of as much as 50 percent. They also increase the useful lives of roof systems by lessening the severity of thermal expansion and contraction.
