If you're like most design professionals, your first love is creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs. You know your firm needs to make a profit to stay in business, but you are uncomfortable with the process of fee negotiation. You probably "take it on the chin" in negotiations more than you need to because oftentimes your clients are far more savvy and experienced with this process than you are. Developing solid negotiating skills is the best way to earn good profits while at the same time building solid, long-term relationships with your clients.
