Properties of Aluminum Alloys: Tensile, Creep, and Fatigue Data at High and Low Temperatures, a compilation of more than 300 tables listing typical average properties of a wide range of aluminum alloys, is now available for purchase from The Aluminum Association Inc. Co-published by the association and ASM International, the book is based on Alcoa Laboratories and was edited by J. Gilbert Kaufman.Tables included in the 311-page book outline typical mechanical properties of wrought and cast aluminum alloys at differing temperatures for various holding times, including tensile properties and creep rupture strengths, as well as extensive fatigue data on numerous alloys. The properties in the book are typical values, which are expected average values for representative lots produced using commercial processes that meet industry standards whose room temperature properties correspond to published typical values for the alloys.
