Composite Panels Used To Provide Shade For Walkway System

Phase II of the Jackson Academy Preschool and Upper Elementary additions in Jackson, MS, features covered walkways throughout the campus. Approximately 7,900 sq. ft. of Texas Aluminum Industries' Solar III Insulated Roof System was used to cover the walkways. The 3" composite panels were formed from 0.25" aluminum skins bonded to a 1-1/2 Ib. EPS core. A baked enamel finish coats the aluminum skins.The Solar III roof panels are offered in white or ivory with aluminum skins ranging in thickness from 0.25" to 0.32" aluminum. The panels are manufactured in 2' or 4' widths and 3" to 6" thicknesses. While not used on this application, these multi-patented panels are also available with full length SunRay Skylight Insulated Panels which snap in for ease of installation.
