Rowing center renovation revitalizes team facilities

The Cornell University Rowing Center in Ithaca, N.Y., is the training ground for the school's men's and women's rowing teams. Reflecting the school's long-standing participation in the sport of rowing, the renovation of the existing Collyer and Robison boathouses needed to serve the needs of Cornell's rowing teams, while at the same time look aesthetically pleasing for campus visitors. Milwaukee-based HGA Architects and Engineers took on the 31,360-square-foot renovation, located on the Cayuga Inlet. Zee Lock standing seam metal roof panels from San Antonio-based Berridge Manufacturing Co. were added over existing buildings and new additions to architecturally unify the facilities.
