SIR DAVID AND THE WINDOW PLANT

I do not often watch the TV nature programmes by Sir David Attenborough. However, after a phone call from one of my friends, I though that I would oblige by watching one of the programs in the Life of Plants series with him particularly as he mentioned that there "would be somesucculents in it.....". When the succulents at lastarrived in the programme a lovely Fenestraria rhopalophylla specimen (in a pot at Kew Gardens) was shown. "Yes, I know that one", I said, "I have seen them often at Luderitz, in the Namib desert". Sir David in the meantime said"......and they grow in the Kalahari desert.....".With pure disgust my friend looked at me and although he did not say a word, I could imagine him saying "... you call yourself a succulent enthusiast, you do not even know where they grow in nature!" I just nodded and accepted that Sir David is King - whatever he says goes.
