摘要

Air contains a large number of substances of natural and anthropogenic origins, and both the qualitative and quantitative composition of air is continually changing. Among the substances in air are water vapor, dust, and various chemicals present in the form of gases, vapors, and aerosols. The dispersed phase in an aerosol can be a solid or a liquid. The sizes of the particles in aerosols are constantly changing, and during diffusion they may be transported in the air and settle on different surfaces. Wind can then lift the particles from the surfaces and return them to the air, thus creating a secondary source of pollution. Different chemicals can be adsorbed on aerosols, and solid particles can dissolve in the drops in aerosols. The main reason for the photochemical reactions that take place in the air in cities and industrial areas is the pollution of the air by organic and inorganic substances formed during industrial processes that are carried out at high temperatures. Metallurgical operations are among these processes. Thus, one of the most important problems facing the metallurgical industry is to protect the environment.
