The sinter-lime division of the West Siberian Metallurgical Combine (ZSMK) includes a crushing-sorting plant, sinter plant, pumping/sludge-handling facilities, and a limestone-calcining shop. The crushing-sorting plant is designed to receive, average, and deliver charge materials to the calcining shop, sinter plant, and blast furnaces. The first stage of the crushing-sorting plant came on line in June 1964. The plant includes two VRS-93 car-dumpers, a materials distribution building (MDB), three enclosed concentrate ware-houses with a design capacity of 97000 m each, two open storage areas with design capacities of 40000 m and 10000 m , a conveyor system with two units that mix the concentrate with lime, and receiving hoppers for fuel and scale. The open storage areas are for limestone and blast-furnace charge materials, respectively (materials are delivered to the storage areas and warehouses by conveyers and are handled with EKG-5 excavators).
