摘要

The system most commonly employed to use the heat of the flue gases from heating furnaces includes a recuperator and a standard waste-heat boiler with a flue-gas pump. The recuperator is located behind the furnace. Among the short-comings of this system is the low durability of the recuperator, which is made of heat-resistant steel. The recuperator 5 lack of durability leads to loss of combustion air, and the infiltration of cold air through gaps in the unit and the plate dampers sharply reduce the efficiency of the boiler. The temperature of the fumes ahead of the boiler thus rarely climbs above 400-500 deg C, and the inadequate heat behind many section mills means that the waste-heat boilers either do not work at all or function at just 15-30 percent of their design capacity.
