摘要

The application package PHOENICS was used to model the aerodynamics of new turbulent gas burner GGT, designed by the author. The article presents the results of the modeling, which were used to refine the burners design and determine efficient conditions for its use in the lime kilns at the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine. Introduction of the burner has produced substantial monetary savings and improved the quality of the metallurgical lime made in the kiln.
