摘要

A method is proposed for calculating the main characteristics of the sintering of iron-ore concentrate - the width of the combustion zone, sintering rate, and the completeness of combustion of the solid fuel - in relation to that fuel's chemical and granulometric compositions. The method can be used to calculate the main parameters of sintering machines: the length of the sintering zone and the vacuum under the sintering-machine strand. The method can also be used to optimize the parameters of the sintering operation. It is shown that the main criterion used to optimize sintering based on environmental indices should be the unit yield of CO, which determines the main energy costs of the operation and the pollutant load from sinter production.
