Results are presented from a study of the leaching of gold from tailings formed by concentrating chrysotile-asbestos ores from the Dzhetygarinsk deposit. The article describes the kinetic laws that govern the initial stage of the leaching operation and gives values for the order of the reaction and activation energy. It is established that the leaching operation is of a diffusional nature.
