Rabies in Poland in 2005.

摘要

The 2005 data on the rabies affected species and geographical distribution of rabies outbreaks in Poland was analysed to determine its epidemiology. A total of 138 rabies cases were recorded in domestic animals (n=36), wild animals (n=98) and bats (n=4), and remained at constant level when compared with 2004 cases. The epidemiologic situation of rabies in terrestrial animals of Poland was under control and expected to decline in the following years to come. Foxes are still the main disease reservoir of rabies and oral vaccination remains as the most effective rabies eradication control programmes..
