Paper could soon be made from straw after an environmental company was given an investment award. BioRegional MiniMills Ltd has received 90,500 pounds from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA). The money will help the Surrey-based company develop its environmentally friendly paper-making process, which has been subjected to trials since BioRegional MiniMills was formed in 1997.
