BRIGHTON & HOVES BRA RECYCLING SCHEME HAS RECYCLED 50,000 garments in its first year. It was launched last summer in partnership with textile recycler BCR Global Textiles. The council installed 10 bright pink collection banks across the city, which were followed by smaller cardboard banks provided to shops and offices at Christmas. Each donated bra will provide cash for local breast cancer charity the Pink Dolphin Appeal, which helps to support the city's Park Centre for Breast Cancer.
