Japan's Nippon Steel and South Korea's POSCO have agreed to conduct future iron ore contract negotiations jointly in a move which could eventually have implications for coking coal contracts. A joint statement from Nippon and POSCO said they had 'agreed to jointly conduct annual benchmark price negotiations of iron ores for fiscal 2007 and market studies on worldwide supply and demand situations for iron ore.'
