European noble alloys prices ended August little changed, with hopes of a pick-up in buyingturningto early September. We expect there may be a small upwards move in price, or at leasta return to more liquid business conditions, through the last month of the quarter. Duty-paid ferro-molybdenum has been consolidating a widening of 0.10 dollars/kg at either end of the current range of $32.00-32.30/kg,with duty unpaid ferro-molybdenum at $31.25-32.50/kg.Molybdic oxide prices have softened to $13.10-13.20/Ib.
