摘要

Fatigue tests were performed on quenched and tempered specimens of the steel 42CrMoS4. The cyclic stress-strain-behaviour under different test conditions was characterized by means of strain and temperature measurements. Both values lead to comparable results whereby temperature measurements can be applied very easily and allow continuous measurements also under variable amplitude loading, when stress-strain hysteresis measurements cannot be performed. Single step sequences with amplitudes below the endurance limit, combined with fatigue tests with any kind of load spectra offer the possibility to evaluate defined hysteresis parameters thereby yielding a characterization of the stress-strain-behaviour even under service loading conditions.
