Foundry Trade Journal invited the exhibitors to detail what they will be showing. The French company, Technogenia, specialises in manufacturing its own spherical cast tungsten carbides that are incorporated into various hard facing products and wear parts. They are sold under the brand names Lasercarb is a process developed by the company that uses a laser beam to melt the surface of the parent metal and powered filler metal to protect mixer blades for foundry sand mixers. Technocasting allows composite steel parts and Spherotene to be moulded into complicated shapes having high abrasion resistance.
