BMW AG and Peugeot-Citroen plan to link up to build a new series of gasoline engines for small vehicles. The designs will be co-developed to be installed in variations of BMW's Mini model yet to be introduced, as well as for Peugeot and Citroen entries. About 1 million engines will be produced annually, according to the two automakers, though when manufacturing is to begin and where remain undetailed. Their initial investment will total about 750 million dollars.
