Preparation and Spectroscopic [IR,NMR (~1H, ~(11)B, ~(27)Al, ~(51)V)] Characterisation of New-Types of Heteronuclear Derivatives of Aluminium and Boron Containing Bis (2,5-dimethyl-2,5-hexanediolato)oxovanadium(V) Group

Reactions of appropriate homonuclear derivatives of aluminium Al(PhDEA)(OPr~i) (la), Al(DEA)(OPr~i) (lb), Al(L)(OPr~i) (lc), Al(L~2XOPr~i) (ld), Al(OGO)(OPr~i) (le) or boron B(OGO)(OPr~i) (If) and B(OPr~i))3 with VO(OGO)(OGOH) (lg) in desired molar ratios in benzene yield heteronuclear derivatives of the types: [(PhDEA)Al{(OGO)_2VO}] (2), [(DEA)A1{(OGO)_2VO}] (3), [(L')A1{(OGO)_2VO}] (4), [(L~2)A1{(OGO)_2VO}] (5), [(CGO)Al{(Cgo)_2VO}] (6), [(OGO)B{(OGO)_2VO}] (7) and [(OPr~i)_2B{(OGO)_2VO}] (8) (where PhDEA = C_6H_5N(CH_2CH_2O)_2; DBA = HN(CH_2CH_2O)_2 ; L~1 = OC_6H_4- CHNCH_2CH_2O; L~2 = OC_6H_4CHNCH_2CH_2NCHC_6H_4O; OGO=OCMe_2CH_(2-) CH_2CMe_2O). All these derivatives have been characterised by spectroscopic [IR, NMR (~1H, ~(11)B, ~(27)A1, ~(51)V)] studies, elemental analyses, and molecular weight measurements.
