Meta-analysis finds possible link between pregnancy terminations and preterm/low-birthweight births

Researchers from the Knowledge Synthesis Group of Determinants of preterm/low-birthweight births in Toronto, ON, Canada, have suggested that women with a history of termination of pregnancy (TOP) may have an increased risk of low birthweight and preterm birth in subsequent pregnancies, and the risk was found to increase with the number of terminations.
