When Andrew Dobson, managing director of SG Equipment, went looking for a computer-driven centre lathe at MACH 2000, he knew that his company would need further machines in the following 12 months. As it happens, the effect that the first Colchester Combi K2 machine had on the business was such that he compressed his purchase programme and installed three machines in just six months.
