Until very recently, powder paint technology, a virtually emission-free and environment-friendly as well as cost-effective alternative to liquid paint coaling, has been used almost exclusively for decorative corrosion protection in the metal-working industry. Thanks to new fields of application (MDF coaling, automotive industry, glass, etc.), the availability of sophisticated technologies, and the increasing legislative focus on ecological considerations (VOC Directive), its share in industrial painting is expected to increase from currently 6% to 10% in the coming 10 years.
