Aylilies grow bigger and better in Canada than almost anywhere else in the world—just ask anyone who's ever tried to find a decent selection in Britain or Europe! However, this success has led to familiarity, which in some quarters has bred contempt.But daylilies deserve better than that—they brighten our gardens all summer long, and ask very little in return.Due to their wide distribution across so much of Canada, many gardeners assume that daylilies (particularly the orange-flowered sort) are native plants.
