Schindler 9700 - the new escalator for public transport

Schindler's new 9700 escalator system for elevations of up to 50 m is based on the modular-design principle and can easily be adjusted to the project-specific requirements of underground railways, tong-distance and commuter railway stations as well as airports. Schindler 9700 complies with the technical specifications of public transport operators and city administrations and, thus, is fully qualified to meet the very demanding requirements of public transport. The escalator system consists of a number of prefabricated sub-systems and components, which are configured into project-specific escalators on a modular basis. The new escalator system is in conformity with all international standards, such as EN 115, ASME 17.1, and HK-COB The Schindler 9700 system was designed at the escalator research and development centre in Vienna.
