DSM has launched its thinnest, high-strength, medical-grade UHMWPE fibre as part of the Dyneema Purity fibre portfolio. The Dyneema Purity 10 dtex fibre - available in white and blue - will be produced at DSM's Greenville, North Carolina, facility which is the only plant of its kind dedicated solely to the production of medical-grade fibres. The company says the new product is four times stronger than polyester and thinner than any other UHMWPE medical fibre on the market.
