Polymethyl(trimethylsiloxy)siloxane, the first linear polysiloxane in which each silicon atom of the polymer backbone is a trifunctional RSiO3/2 (T) unit, has been prepared by anionic ring-opening polymerization of 1,3,5-trimethyl-1,3,5-tris(trimethylsiloxy)cyclotrisiloxane (I). [References: 26]
