La Spectrometrie d'Emission Atomique a Source Plasma dans les Laboratoires de Recherche et de 9'industrie Nucleaire: Presentation des Travaux Menes au Sein de la CETAMA

Some twenty laboratories from the main research and nuclear industry organisations in France work together, as a working group of the Commission d'Etablissement des Methodes d'Analyse (CETAMA), towards the implementation of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) in their various fields of activity. Beyond the exchange of information that takes place during regular meetings, the group 's activities have resulted in several types of documents on this technique: reviews of available equipment, performance and monitoring tests, as well as analytical and statistical methods. The present paper describes more specifically recent works on three main subjects: an instrumentation book on ICP-AES, the determination of toxic elements by vapour generation coupled to ICP-AES, and uncertainty calculation in ICP-AES.
